This is the story as told to me by my little sister..........
My sister was sitting by the lake side one evening, enjoying the untouched beauty of mother Earth. Calm serene water in the lake, shores adorned with wild flowers, birds busy collecting food for their young ones, squirrels scampering around collecting pine nuts for oncoming winters. Trees in the woods standing erect in their meditative mode.
Sun was getting ready to wind up his rays and go to take care of the other side of the world. She spots a lone duck swimming up and down the lake, as if he was expecting a guest. He could not migrate to south before the winters, as he was a little old. He had to stop journey in this place.
Suddenly a whole lot of ducks appear on the horizon, flying in formation. This lone duck gets all exited. He starts flapping his wings and quaking loudly, trying to attract their attention. All those ducks hear him and come down and alight right next to him. The lone Gander tells his friends to wait, and goes to the bank, comes back in a few minutes coxing his mate to follow him. She is a little weak in the legs. All the other ducks encourage her with loud quacks. All of them fuss around, her talk to her. Suddenly all of them take off including the lonely couple and set course on their migratory tracks.
These ducks had so much to teach me. Love is concern, Love is caring, and Love is unity.
