Ancient seers say life goes through many transformations and many cycles of birth and death of the body before it can reach the ultimate goal of light and love.
In the beginning of 1930 a little girl was born to a loving couple, they named her Nirmala because she was the most beautiful serene character little baby they had ever laid eyes on. They showered her with all their love. This couple dedicated their entire life to music. Learning and teaching Indian classical music. All their belongings were vast knowledge of Indian classical music and a beautiful violin. Little Nirmala became the sole heiress of the wealth of music her parents owned.
Nirmala started growing into a beautiful, talented girl. She enjoyed learning music, excelled in singing classical songs and played violin. She became a celebrity singer in her early teens. Beauty, brain and hard work were the assets she owned, to add to the glory she found an excellent Guru. He left no stone unturned in taking her talent to the zenith of success. Stage shows and cultural events gave her enough coverage. Nirmala was overwhelmed and intoxicated with her starlet status. Hoardings, billboard and magazine covers were flooded with her fame and name. This elixir of fame kept her in seventh heaven for two to three years. In her euphoric state she forgot to recognize the people who helped her climb the ladder of success. By the time she realized her status, she found herself all alone on apex of the pyramid. No one but an empty space surrounded her. She was too high up there to be able to reach out to her loved ones or her favorite guru. She felt lost and desolate. Loneliness engulfed her. The glamour, wealth and fans did not appeal to her anymore. She looked around for the world she knew and grew up in. Regret and remorse swallowed her happiness. She was ashamed of her callousness towards her loved ones, if only she could reach out to them, but her ego would not let her bend down. Her loved ones could not cross the barriers of self esteem and reach out to her. Fame, name, success and material wealth was abundant around her; people attending to her smallest of small wish were around her and were in numbers. Love and affection was the only ingredient missing in the spice of life. With all the glory around happiness eluded her. Sleep and peace became her enemy. A little tight hug of her parents with pure love, and blessings of her guru was all she craved for. If only she could overcome her false ego and all the deceitful people fanning her ego, she could have been the owner of this priceless wealth of love. Now all she seemed to be doing was, hating herself and the plight she landed herself in. Her mind wanted to punish her for throwing away all the invaluable love in the winds.
Time flew Nirmala turned sixteen. Beauty was in her favor. Freedom revolution had reached its peak. India got its freedom at a heavy cost. Nation was divided into two segments. Both the nations could have been happy, but for lack of faith both the nations broke into communal violence. People broke into insane violence. Nirmala found herself caught in the wrong borders. Wrath of human insanity broke down on her. She had led a very sheltered life till now and this insanity towards her left her confused. She decided to end her life by jumping into a gorge from a rope bridge, ending her life instantly. Physical life ended punishment she invited but she was unable to comprehend that the pain of punishment was greater than the pain of loneliness and hatred for her self. Nirmala could not figure out that end of physical world could not end her life. She lived in confusion of the two worlds without a physical body. Two years passed by. In her physical life time she had met a gentleman who had come to one of her shows. She was impressed by his compassionate nature and integrity of character. She decided to knock on this gentleman’s door for shelter. He and his wife were kind enough to give her a physical life. She was born as their daughter.
Past life’s trauma still haunted her present state of mind. Her present life parents blessed her with a beautiful looks. She was blessed with a perfect structure. There was no shortage of love from her father. She played around like any other baby. But her inner world was tormented with wildness. Her eyes could not see the beauty and the blessings she had got. Her lack of judgment in the subconscious got the better of her. Unconsciously she still hated herself and this body. With this inner state of mind she turned into nine months. Her inner state of mind made her immune system weak. She became the victim of smallpox. Her appearance became ugly and within a span of four days the physical body succumbed to the illness and life departed from the body once again.
Two more years passed in the bodiless state of mind. Once again she knocked on the same couple’s door; once again they agreed to give her the space. Once again she became their daughter with a beautiful face black eyes fair complexion with unlimited beauty. Cheeks remained pink in all weathers.
Oblivious to the store house of beauty she owned, she still felt incomplete. Past life trauma were still the companions of her subconscious. By the time she turned three she became the victim of tuberculosis. Unconsciously she invited the same loneliness. Consciously she did not like being treated as an untouchable. Consciously she longed to be held in the arms, loved and hugged. Yet unconsciously she invited the same loneliness that she had found herself as a celebrity Nirmala. She hated herself. With the result she could not see that she was capable of being loved, only if she could let go of her disbelief in herself, in her looks.
As she kept growing, lack of confidence in herself kept growing. As she looked around all she could notice were people thinking, how worthless she is. At 16 years of age her unhappiness reached its peak and she made two attempts at ending her life. Some powerful divine forces came to her rescue and saved her. She went through the same pattern of thoughts and reached her youth. She did get married to the most handsome and a loving husband had two lovely children, yet the thought pattern stayed the same. Till one day she decided she had enough of this negativity. Once she changed her pattern of thinking divine came to her as a constant companion and steered her life to the happiness and peace. Every individual is capable of and entitled to. Hatred, neglect and loneliness became history.
The lessons she learnt where there is no need to go through life after life in the web of unhappiness. All we need to do is change the pattern of thoughts and thereafter we never need to look back. Our world gets filled with unlimited treasures of love and happiness. Sky is the limit thereafter.
